Edges 2009; a Juried Invitational, co-curated by Jamie Fingal and Leslie Tucker Jenison - where 21 quilt artists interpreted the theme "Edges" 1) the sharp cutting part of a blade, 2) sharpness, keenness, 3) the projecting ledge of a cliff, etc., brink, 4) the part farthest from the middle; border; margin. This exhibit premiered at the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach, CA - July 24-26, sponsored by Quilting Arts Magazine, LLC and traveled onto Festival in Houston in mid-October 2009, sponsored by the artists. Artists included: Jamie Fingal and Leslie Tucker Jenison, co-curators; Frances Holliday Alford, Betty Amador, Loris Bogue, Paula Chung, Joanell Connolly, Cindy Cooksey, Muna Elias, Desiree Habicht, Carol Henke, Stacy Hurt, Pamela Price Klebaun, Jane LaFazio, Gwen Mayer, Jeannie Palmer Moore, Karen Rips, Carolyn Ryan, Julie Schlueter, Terry Waldron and Kathy York (her art quilt is pictured here).
