Dinner At Eight Artists have, well, Dinner At Eight in Houston!

Friday evening at the Houston Quilt festival we were so excited to gather in Spencer's restaurant for our artist-dinner.
Just in case you aren't sure whether we have a great time together at our D@8 gatherings, please observe the following:
Indigo Perez, Judy Coates Perez' daughter, took a lot of photos of our evening.
I promise that Jamie and I will add more as soon as we receive them.
For some reason, I didn't get a shot of the entire table.
One of the unknown benefits of d@8 is you get to learn the fine art of "Spoonology".
Observe:
Barb Forrister (L) and Susan Fletcher King (with Judy & Indigo Perez)
practice their skills
Jamie sets her spoon up while Linda Teddlie Minton cracks up
There's a first time for everything - Terry Grant's first Festival and spoon experience!

some of us have other skills.  Who is this?
Why, it is Ms. Napkinhead*
There is more than one way to practice Spoonology.
Just ask Susan Brubaker Knapp!
Gerrie Congdon says, "Wow, Susan!  You have good spoonology skills!"

  5. I agree with both of you: Natalya, you were missed. Linda, it was a magical evening. I have a friend who calls these events "exquisite moments". This was such a moment.

  6. Loved, loved, LOVED being with all of you that night! I really needed a good belly laugh. Thanks for sharing all of the fun photos. I will be posting mine on my blog soon.

By the way, I learned my spoon skills by working all my summers during college at the YMCA camp for the city of Pittsburgh. We were quite accomplished with the spoons! ;-)
